Ok, so here is the first post of my new personal photo project Fáilte.

For the next 30-days, and potentially beyond, I am going to be capturing the essence of the day and sharing 4-6 images that reflect it. I often find that day-to-day life can feel slow, and sometimes uninspiring, but I am committed to finding something beautiful and utterly different in every photo story I share over the next 30-days.

Today, the day I chose to start this project things are slower than usual, myself and my two babes have hardly emerged from under the covers with heavy, sleep-deprived eyes and the low autumn light has made the whole day feel like it has stretched on infinitely as we wait for Matt to finish work. I think just how uninspiring today was worked perfectly for the premise of this project, it's not about perfect imagery or curation of any kind, this is about just capturing the story of day-to-day life, honestly.
